About Lightberry

Lightberry builds the software layer for expressive, interactive robots. We combine voice AI, perception, and behavior systems so robots can understand people and respond naturally.

We are a small, hands-on team based in San Francisco, working across software, hardware, design, and research to turn new capabilities into robots people can interact with today.

We care about thoughtful craft, fast iteration, and shipping real systems into the world.

Robots with Souls

Yep, you read that right.

Robots are here, but they ship with no software. They’re all mute, deaf, and blind out of the box. The only way to get the robot to do anything is to write code. This is insane.

We want robots to behave like in the movies: proactive, caring, aware.

The role

Lightberry sells two lines of real robots: Lumi, our own interactive robot, and Unitree robots through RobotBerry. You’ll lead the work that turns interest into delivered machines.

This is sales with operational ownership. You’ll manage the pipeline, customer relationships, inventory, orders, logistics, and shipping instead of handing the deal off after it closes.

What you’ll do

  • Lead sales for Lumi and RobotBerry from first conversation through signed order and delivery.
  • Run demos, understand each customer’s use case, prepare quotes, and help them choose the right robot and configuration.
  • Build and maintain a clean pipeline, contact book, follow-up system, and sales forecast.
  • Track inventory and incoming supply so customers get accurate availability and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate orders, contracts, customs, shipping, and delivery with customers and logistics partners.
  • Turn trade shows, conferences, and robot demos into new business.

What’s needed

We don’t care about degrees or big-company titles. Show us complicated things you’ve sold and made happen. We do need:

  • Sales. You’ve sold physical products or technical systems to business customers, from first meeting through a signed deal.
  • Operator. You stay close after the signature and make sure the robot reaches the customer as promised.
  • Systems. Your pipeline, contact book, inventory view, and follow-ups stay current without someone chasing you.
  • Logistics. You’re comfortable coordinating inventory, imports, shipments, and the details behind physical delivery.
  • Customer judgment. You listen carefully, set honest expectations, and earn long-term trust.

Bonus points

  • 中文. You speak Chinese and can work directly with suppliers and logistics partners in China.
  • Robotics. You’ve sold or supported robots, hardware, or another complex physical product.
  • Startups. You’ve worked at a startup or pre-Series B company and are used to owning problems end to end.

One last thing…

Don’t apply if…

  • You can’t stand chaos
  • You’d work remotely every day if you could
  • You’re not a people-person
  • You’re pessimistic about tech, AI, and the future

Apply if…

  • You want to do your life’s work
  • You care about developing and expressing your craft
  • You love intense, fast-paced environments
  • You like getting your hands dirty, no work is beneath you
  • Life’s short, why work on B2B AI SAAS infra slop when you could work on speaking robots?
